An important area of our preparation to leave for and stay in Thailand is to raise a team of ministry partners who will support our work with PIONEERS through financial commitments. Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 9:12, “This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”
If the Lord has placed it upon your heart to financially support our work with PIONEERS, we invite you to follow the steps below:
Pledge Card
If you are on our mailing list and have already received a pledge card, please fill out your information on that card and send it into PIONEERS. The PIONEERS address is noted on the card. (If you would like to get on our mailing list, please Contact Us and we will add you to our postal mailing list.)
To fill out a Pledge Card now, fill out the information and mail it in to PIONEERS with your form of payment.
One Time Gifts
One-time gifts may be given by filling out a pledge card and mailing it to PIONEERS along with your check made payable to PIONEERS. PIONEERS also has online giving (see Forms of Payment below). Once PIONEERS receives your gift, they will issue you a tax-deductible receipt within two to three weeks from when you sent your gift. If you would like to give again in the future, just simply send the return portion attached to your receipt and mail it with your gift to PIONEERS or you can give online at the link below.
Monthly Gifts
Regular monthly gifts may also be given. Just check this option on the pledge card, and mail it with your check to PIONEERS. You also have the option of online giving monthly and Electronic Funds Transfer (see Forms of Payment below). You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your gift along with a return portion. This return portion may be detached and used for your next month's gift if giving by check. Because your pledge is between you and the Lord, PIONEERS will not send you monthly reminders of your commitment. Your receipt with return envelope will serve as your only reminder.
Many supporters wonder how much of their gift actually goes to the missionary. Below you can see that supporting us through Pioneers provides for much more than just our salary on the field.
1) 12% is designated for administrative fees which are paid to Pioneers United States and International Offices.
2) 22% is designated for missionary benefits, including medical insurance, retirement funds, and housing on the field.
3) 66% is for ministry costs which consists of direct ministry costs, missionary salary, taxes, language school and home assignment (money put aside for furlough in the United States). Salary is based on living costs in the country of ministry, and is used for expenses such as food, clothing, childrenšs education, and other personal expenses. The Home Assignment funds pay for travel to and from the field and for expenses while in the US.
